We have pretty much cleared our food pantry few rounds, travelled a few
bit in between and many other little projects which we embarked on except
to give this space of mine here a little tender, loving care and attention that´s
so much needed. BAD, I know but great news is, all the files which was
stored on our main CPU has been salvaged to the last byte and I am now
ready to share them all with you here.
Continuing my last post of Romantic Road, Roadtrip to Bavaria Area last
Autumn, and not in order of sequence, here´s one of the little town we visited.
It is another quaint little town, with pastel coloured old buildings adorning its
central square. I would say, they did a great job restoring those buildings
and this is what I love here. Maintenance, maintenance and maintenance.
The buildings are very much occupied still with its ground floor tenanting any
businesses from traditional goods and restaurants, to modern amenities and
trend setting boutiques such as H&M. It is very likely you´d notice how
frequent an Apotheke shop pops up inbetween the building. It is also in this
square that we found an old and good traditional Bavarian restaurant. Beer
as you´ve probably seen somewhere is served in a huge mug. Food is gigantic
and filling but I would say, it serves the chilly, autumn weather well and I´m not
complaining.
The Lech river which runs across this town is what I would describe as a
must visit. Unlike many other rivers I´ve seen, the Lech river is one of the most
beautiful river I´ve ever seen. It is torquise in colour with its source from
Austria in a lake call Formarinsee at an altitude of 6,120 feet high. If you
get a chance to visit this town, I would say it is a must to stroll along the
river to take it not just for its beauty, but the sound coming from it which is
magnificent and strong due to the strong gush it carries from the nearby altitude.
It is romantic to say the least and to add icing to the cake, perhaps a cone of
gelato from the many stands along the riverwalk will do the trick.
Right at the other end of the river bank, across the old town stood a magnificent
looking tower. Without any pre-planning to what to see or visit, this is what I
love about this town. It is small enough that you´ll discover them. The tower
we saw was apparently call Mutterturm. It is built by one of the two famous
artist from this town call Hubert von Hercomer. It is here where he houses his
studio and which later on, displays them in a nearby museum which he also
lives in. We did not manage to catch a glimpse of his work as it was close but
we managed to enjoy the lovely, secluded area around the tower.
It was a short visit to this town but I felt rejuvenated neitherless.
