In Season ; Spargel aka White Asparagus

Something I could not help but picked up last Saturday in Munster´s weekend market. It is in season now and are abundantly found in the market ranging from skinny to super fat ones, going from 5.50 Euro to 10.00 Euro per kilo. Though its not my first time eating Spargel, I found this green and purple tip ones rather unique. Without much thought, I quickly asked the seller in my broken Germen if this indeed belong to the White Asparagus or does it fall under the Green Asparagus type. After confirming it being in white, I happily picked up a bunch. But it was not until last night that I had them cooked with the lightest cream sauce available and boyyy ... did it blew us away with its simple, crisp taste.
